Encoding and decoding a wav file

May 30, 2011 at 6:14 PM

Hi!

Could you help me please, showing me the better way to encode a wav file using the NSpeex, and after decoding the ogg file into a wav file again?

Thanks,

Cassiano.

Hi casnicolosi,

Speex and hence NSpeex is an audio codec. It comes with functionality to write the encoded audio (voice) to file but this is just some added feature and not part of the core functionality.

Hi Christoph.

Thanks for your reply.

I understood that it's not part of the core functionality. I was just wondering if you (or somebody) could have the source code, or an example of it, already done.

In fact, I need to open a existing WAV file, and compress it to another format, without changing quality of the original track (or almost without). So I've tried to use NSpeed to do it, but...

Thanks any way.

Cassiano.
